About

Halle Paton is a Victoria-based composer and pianist currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in composition at the University of Victoria, studying with Dr. Anthony Tan. She previously received a Bachelor of Applied Music degree from Vancouver Community College. During her studies, she has had the opportunity to train with many talented artists and instructors, including Alan Matheson, John Korsrud, and Sharon Minemoto.

The recipient of the 2025 Jeffrey Rubnioff Arts as a Source of Knowledge Scholarship, Halle was a selected composer for Vancouver Pro Musica's 2025 Sonic Boom, as well as the Victoria Symphony's 2025 Hugh Davidson Readings. She was also awarded the Kathy Kidd Scholarship for a promising young composer and pianist.
